First of all, Megan and I LOVED your pictures!! Love them. We want a pig now . . . just for an hour like you had, a baby one. :-) It's times like this blog post when we wish we still lived by you, we would have had so much fun together!! Also, I have to say you are such an amazing example! I'm so proud and completely in awe of your ability to look at life's trials and, while in them, still able to see rays of hope and sunshine!! I need to really work on that one. When the chips are down for me, everything is down. Terrible. So I'm soooooooo happy for you for seeing something in a trial, for finding faith and hope amongst numerous trials that seemed to drop in your lap all at once. You're an amazing person and I'm so very, very thankful I got to know you so well over those few brief months. I miss you and we're praying for you multiple times a day. We love you! Give those cute kids a squeeze for us will ya?

Does this remind you of someone else who was in their glory with baby pigs and wearing her "piggy poop boots"? Love Ya

Dear Nicole, please know that across the continent in California, someone is shedding tears for you and your baby boy and your family. May God grant you peace.

The Story

  • The title of this blog comes from my best friend's mom; who critiqued my high school English journal as "full of superfluous fluff". This is where I embrace all that fluff and share it with you in its pure, unedited, rambling glory.
