It's a new year filled with the best of intentions but no follow through.
In other words, same old, same old.
I'm trying to think of what to share with you and I've got nothing. I'm sorry, but everything seems the same. Maybe I need more vitamins. It is January after all, and if you've been reading a while you know that January and I are on tenuous speaking terms.
If you want to help me, feel free to leave a comment telling me what you'd like me to blog about. Have a burning question? Want to see our Christmas photos even though it is now mid-January? For that matter, want to see the Hallowe'en photos I never got around to posting? Lay it on me! I think I just need a jump-start and we'll be good to go again.
In the meantime, there are people who care not a whit about a blogger stuck in a rut and need your help. If you're having trouble knowing where to start, here you go:
In our church, just write "Haiti" in the Humanitarian Aid section of your tithing slip. Supplies are already on their way. (The link also has another link where you can donate online if you want YOUR donation to get there all the faster.)
Note that many organizations allow you to donate simply by texting a certain number. If you have a favourite charity, chances are that they will have a way for you to help. I could link all day. Doing something important doesn't have to be hard and it doesn't have to cost a lot.
***IMPORTANT UPDATE: Yesterday the Canadian government announced that, in addition to the immediate aid they are sending, they will match all donations made by individual Canadians. You can get more information here.
