And you pounced?
Do you feel guilty?
Aren't you glad now that your birthday and Christmas are so close together so you can justify something like this to yourself?
Have you tried it yet?
Do you love it?
How much do you love it?
When are you going to stop typing in questions?
Right about now. Yes, they restocked, I noticed (I was just walking past, honest) and I bought it. I felt guilty for about 30 seconds. Then I felt excited. (But Mom, if you're still wondering what to get me, you could send me a check for part or all of the cost, which I'll then use as my gift to Hubby.) This is my birthday/Christmas present to me. I'm not sure I could talk myself into the money for just a birthday or just Christmas, but it covers both beautifully.
And, of COURSE I tried it. Just now, so I could show you! In fact, see that bottom photo? That's not the lens I bought, that's my kit lens. Silly me, I was so excited to get it ON the camera that I forgot to take a picture of it. Ha ha (bad blogger!) Look at that beautiful bokeh. Isn't that exciting? And, since my hands were shaking, I'd have to say that that's a pretty crisp focus, IN SPITE OF the photographer.
More? How about the Boy? At f/1.8...
And at 2.5.
How about a toy tree? These are all indoors, overcast, rainy day, ISO 200, SOOC except that I've added text. You guys know how I feel about indoors in low light. BUT...
Oh, the fun we're going to have together. I am definitely in love. What other things can I find around here to photograph with my new love?
Are you in love too? Here's someone else who's in love. What's NOT to love?
If you'll excuse me, I think my sweet new baby and I need to get better acquainted. And if I have time, I also downloaded a free trial of Photoshop Elements and have absolutely NO idea how to use it. That ought to keep me busy while you're eating your turkey!
