Wow! You are on the ball!!! That is an awesome photo by the way!!! And I love how you marked out the word "step" and replaced it with "stroke". Very clever. Good job!

Very nice canoe layout. Great action photo!!

Thanks ladies! I'm afraid I can't take credit for the photo, my friend Pete took it. But it's special to me because it's one of the only ones I have of me IN the canoe.

Great layout and a great photo! Looks like lots of fun.

Awesome photo! And I'm totally with you, in regards to the kids . . . my hubby and I used to like fishing and shooting together. Since the kiddos have come along, I think my energy level has just been running a little on the short side and it's just easier to keep the kids at home (I'm probably just lazy), while my hubby enjoys himself. I've promised myself that next year, I'll definately be going to our alumni shooting competition, though . . . and I'll be leaving the kiddos with grandma, so I don't worry about them all day. ;) We HAVE managed to take the oldest fishing a few times, and we'll probably drag the little guy out for his first fishing excursion sometime this summer. At least it will be a great photo op! (lol)

Wow, great action shot of the canoe! I can't imagine doing white water in a canoe - I've only done it in a raft! You're very brave! It's also cute how you modified the embellishment to say "stroke" instead of "step" :)

I haven't had kids yet, but one thing I gave up on after high school and college is playing a musical instrument. I do kind of miss it but I also have moved on to other hobbies (like scrapbooking!). Also, I had a great group of friends that all did music together in high school, and I think maybe I miss my old girlfriends more than the music making!

Very cute layouts! I'm going to try to do Lain's challenge for the first time tonight. But I had to leave a comment when you mentioned where you live - I'm in Jersey City so unless there's a New Brunswick in another state, we're probably pretty close! And I'm also LDS.

Great photo and I love the bright colors in your lo!

The Story

  • The title of this blog comes from my best friend's mom; who critiqued my high school English journal as "full of superfluous fluff". This is where I embrace all that fluff and share it with you in its pure, unedited, rambling glory.
