Not so long ago, the fun and creative Lain asked us to guess what totally awesome gift her sweet hubby got her for her birthday.
Well. We guessed and guessed.
The suspense was killing me, because-knowing Lain-it just HAD to be good, and I told her so. After a while she hinted that I get some ideas from her About page (which is so cute all on it's own). Once I found it I just KNEW what her gift was. (Go on over to ScrapHappy and look around, you'll find it. Don't forget to come back though!)
Lain said she was going to send me some happy mail for getting it right. I celebrated all that day and then, as I do, completely forgot about it.
On Monday when I got the parcel notice in the mail I panicked. DId I order something and forget about it? Did someone send something for Easter? What's going on?
I had to
run slide into the village today to get some milk. On my way out I spied the parcel notice and took it with me. Halfway there I remembered that Lain was going to send me something and wondered if that would be the mystery package. I was only expecting a little envelope, but if she had sent me some papers I guessed the envelope would be oversized....
Envelope? Try awesome box!
It may not look impressive from this angle, but when I opened it I SQEEEEED like a little girl. Prezzies! Yippee! Lain totally spoiled me! Lookie:
Inside was SOOOOOO much treasure. Sweet little bookmarks from Lain, a nice big "Get Digi with it" Tee, licorice, sweethearts, and oodles and oodles of scrappy goodness.
Check it out:
The box started to take on the properties of Mary Poppin's bag and I just kept pulling more and more awesome stuff out. I'm sure glad it's a long weekend because I am going to be playing for a while! I might just pet that paper for a few days; it's
velvet? seude? really, really soft.
A million thanks to Lain for the super-de-dupra (as we say here) happy mail and for totally making my weekend! I hope to post some pages and projects soon!
