Conversation while snuggling with the boy on the couch:
Me: Oh, I just love your cute little ears! (tugging at them) Could I just have them and put them in my pocket to keep forever and ever?
Boy: (giggling and covering his ears) NO! They're stuck to me!
Me: Really? How did that happen?
Boy: You stuck them on with your glue! The glue on your desk!
Hee Hee. Behold the power of a Zig pen and a little boy's imagination.
Remember that "bunny page" that Sweetpea had me do for her? The one using the ancient cut-outs?
She has randomly come up to me on at least 3 occasions to thank me for her bunny page and tell me how much she loves it. I am getting all kinds of hugs and kisses from THAT special page.
Just one of many reasons that I scrapbook, and the biggest one for why I let them talk me into doing things with their pages that I personally would not do. I hope that when they're grown and gone and have taken their scrapbooks with them that they will treasure not just the books but the memories we made creating pages together and telling the stories of their lives again and again. (gee, run on sentence much?)
It's Thursday. Already. Again. How'd that happen? Lain has a new challenge up. She wants us to use a picture of ourselves. Which I will do--if I can find one. I'm always BEHIND the camera, not in front. We'll see what happens. Watch for an update!
