On Wednesdays Torchwood airs (link is for BBC America because the regular BBC Torchwood page won't let people from across the pond access it--very unfair). Now the dh is not a tv watcher, but he loves his Dr. Who. Much to my surprise, I love it too (the old ones creep me out) so it's one of the very few things we sit together and watch. Torchwood, being a spinoff, is one of the others.
Anyway, as soon as possible on Wednesdays, dh starts the Torchwood download. Since he gets it from one of those peer-to-peer sharing thingies (the technology is beyond me, sorry) he then has to spend considerable time sharing it with others, getting the right number of seeds out there (whatever that actually means).
We want to get lots of seeding done so that we can keep up with Torchwood (and Dr. Who when the new season starts) so he logs in Wednesday night and leaves the program running. If I really, really, really need to I can log him off on Thursday to do my thing, but it's better if I don't.
So on Thursdays I am him, and that means I cannot access my bookmarks (ok, I can, but I'm not sure how).
At first I was coming to my own blog and working my way through my own blogroll. That kept me up on the essentials, but my blogroll here on the blog only has my absolute favourite blogs to visit. There are many more that I love to check which may or may not be added to the sidebar in the future.
What's a blog addict to do?
Well, last week I worked my way through BooMama's Blogroll. Her own blog is always enjoyable and she also reads many of the same blogs I do, so I tried all her links.
What fun! I had to go back on Friday so I could bookmark a few great finds too (being a Thursday, I cannot tell you which ones they were).
This week I decided to try Antique Mommy's blogroll. Slightly different line-up, same great results.
I also stole a little time to stop by Sue's blog, since you all know she's my absolute favourite and she's just returned from a blogging hiatus (and she's had a couple of really
hilarious terrible days. If you feel inclined, please stop by and give her some love). I randomly clicked on a couple links in her blogroll and GOLD! I should have known she'd have amazing links to people I'd never heard of before. People like Chris, who I can't stop reading (but judging by the volume of comments, I may be the last one to have found her).
I know, I know, some of you are itching to tell me about feeds, but I don't quite understand what they are or how they work, and look at the treasures I'm unearthing!
So your challenge this week, should you choose to accept it, is to click on three links from your favourite blog. You never know what you might find!
