Wow, wow, wow.
There are over 2400 people signed up for the LOAD Challenge. With each one doing AT LEAST a page a day, it is overwhelmingly impossible to keep up with the gallery. I am giving it an hour a day, just sitting and scrolling through all of these beautiful LO's, pausing to comment on only the most lovely to me (because to comment on them all would take hours and hours). By the end of the hour there have been 3 new pages of LO's uploaded and my eyes are starting to glaze over. It's phenomenal!
So a question for my scrappy friends: Do you ever get Gallery overload? Is there a limit to how many LO's you can view before you've just had enough?
I have no idea how Lain is keeping track for the daily draws, let alone the big one at the end. Kudos to her (and I hope she has a team and some good sorting software)!!
In the midst of all of this she has put the 30-minute Thursday Challenges on hold, but never fear! Her friend Jen McG has picked up the gauntlet! You can read about this week's challenge here. It's a good one: use a themed item for something other than what it was designed for. As I'm trying to scrap my stash and have more PP than any normal human could use (but it's all sooo pretty!) that's where I started. I found some nice "highway" PP from a Travel kit that I'd been saving for a "special" LO and so I used it to scrap a LO for our 2004 album about bringing the boy home from the hospital:
This was the only LO I did yesterday, unlike my first two days of marathon madness, but life is getting back to normal and time has to me allotted more judiciously. As long as I can continue a LayOut A Day! It somehow both relaxes and energizes me and helps me cherish my family more--makes me want more scrapbook worthy moments! I think it's really good for us all!
