You know about the Littlest Pet Shop toys, right? They are huge in our house. HUGE. Everyone loves them. Except maybe Mom, who keeps barely missing stepping on them.
Anyway, we have several, and sometimes different kids form an attachment to different ones.
So the other day the boy comes up to me as I'm reading my blogs with a pet in his hand, holds it out to me, and says:
Mama, do you love my SKINNY PIG?
Do you want to pet my SKINNY PIG?
Cute boy. I little mixed up (it was a guinea pig), but awfully cute with it.
Sorry I didn't get to the 30-minute challenge yesterday. The day got away from me, as they sometimes do. I'll make time for it soon and share the results. Promise :)
Also, I slipped away to the kitchen mid-practice today and when I walked back in the children were singing. They sounded like angels. It was a moment for me; being able to step back for a minute and just feel the joy and love coming from them. I get a little too caught up in my to do lists sometimes. I definitely need to step back now and then.
And I'm no longer worried about tomorrow. After what I heard and felt today, I'm sure they'll be great.
