It's been a crazy few days around here, and when life gets crazy the internets have to wait.
Last week the boy was grumpy, irritable, and even ran a fever a couple of evenings. He got a little congested but was always better in the morning. It was obvious he was fighting something but it seemed to pass and we breathed a sigh of relief and went on with life.
Then Sunday morning he started itching.
By the time we got home from church, he was covered in hives. The rest of the family went into the house and the boy and I went to the little local hospital to see what was going on and what we could do.
After a surprisingly pleasant visit there, they sent us on to the bigger hospital in the area for a second opinion. Definitely hives but they were mystified as to the cause. No new foods, detergents, soaps, etc. to react to. Did you know that you can have an allergic reaction to a virus your body is fighting? I didn't. The hives were caused by the nasty little bug we thought he had beat. They've been coming and going the last few days and the hardest part has been keeping him from scratching. Poor boy.
Anyway, I finally grabbed a few minutes for myself this evening to get to the 30-minute Thursday (on Wednesday, yeah, I know). The challenge this week was to use numbers in our title. This should have been easy since there are so many awesome ways you can use numbers (hey there's one on my page from last week!) but I was just coming up blank (and it didn't help that I didn't have many numbers lying around).
So, after 30 minutes, I managed this page:
There are (of course!) things I'm tempted to change, but my timer started beeping as I was adhering my journalling box so...STOP! Ha! It's fine.
Bazzil cardstock, ProvoCraft PP, DCWV flowers, MM chipboard flowers, Dollar store flower sequins and button, BG letters and "5", EK Success Circle punch and ZIG pen.
It felt good just to take the timeout, so thanks again Lain for challenging and inspiring us! Oh- and tomorrow is Thursday already. Lucky me. :) My BH Sketches are calling me....
