Sometimes I forget how beautiful my children are. Then I ask one to hold still while I check my exposure, leave the photos on the camera for a couple of weeks and then get blown away when I open the file...

Monday was Thanksgiving up here in sunny Canada. I had an early morning photo shoot before rushing home to get the turkey in the oven, and imagine my surprise when I drove past the elementary school to see this gal:

WW: Scavenger Hunt
At the Regional Super Saturday in PEI on the weekend, the youth were randomly divided into teams and sent on a photo scavenger hunt in downtown Charlottetown. We had to turn in our lists at the end, but my team managed to find 27 out of the 32 things. Yay team! Here are a few of our finds:

(Nearly) WW: Project 365
Last year I began a Project 365--where you take a photo every day of the year--but I crashed and burned somewhere around August. I still have quite the showing of photos though and think that not only has my photography improved but I have our year well documented. Now I just have to decide how best to show it all off--I'm considering using the digital Project Life and then just scrapbooking the absolute highlights.
So this year I've decided to try again. I'm giving myself an out--if I miss a day it's ok, as long as I take a photo representative of the day within the next day or two. So far it's only the end of January and I've already technically missed 2 days, but I gave myself permission to rather than photograph my clock at quarter to 12 as I head to bed.
Last year I set up an album here on the blog to share my Project, but around April or May it filled up. This year I'm putting all my photos over on flickr. I'll try to find a widget to put in the sidebar There's now a widget in the sidebar to take you there, but for now or you can take a peek by clicking here. You can leave comments on the photos if you have a flickr account (and it's free!). If you do have an account, add me as a contact! Every now and then I make a photo private if it has our address in it or something I don't want to share with the ENTIRE Interwebs.
What new projects have you undertaken this year?
PS--Our friend Malachi has his surgery today. He and his family would appreciate your continued prayers. Also, the news out of Haiti is of another earthquake this morning. Any positivity you can send in that direction is sure to also be felt and appreciated.

Sorry, sorry. Feel free to pretend that that post never happened and that this really is a Wordless Wednesday, prompted by Caligirl commenting on our great fall lighting yesterday.
Of course, for it to be wordless, I need to stop talking.

As you can see by how shiny the leaf above is, by the time I saw the girls off to school the lovely frost was pretty much gone. But I did find this web that had been in the shade...
