How's the weather? Lots of snow? White Christmas?
Check out our neck of the woods:
Beautiful, no?
Our snow has all washed away, flooded out. The video above is from St. Stephen, about an hour south of us. Nearby McAdam, only a little over half an hour away, declared a state of emergency last night.
Silly me was out driving and, well, it was scary. I had to drive through what amounted to fast flowing creeks. More than once. And the ditches were washed out. And it was a little scary. Also wet.
Here are some of the news reports:
Daily Gleaner warns that it's not over yet
Thankfully all is well at our home. Our power flickered a few times last night but we did not lose it for more than a few seconds. Our sump pump managed to keep our basement dry and we are well. The kids are enjoying their "flood day" off from school, though frankly the Christmas decorations are looking woefully out of place. We've been blessedly spared from the worst of the storm and are counting our many blessings.
Though I doubt there would be any complaints about snow in the next little while.
